কষটে [ kaṣaṭē ] a same as কষাটে । see কষা2 । কষা2 [ kaṣā2 ] a astringent; tight; strict, severe; niggardly, close-fisted; constipative (কষা ধাত); (of meat, fish etc.) signed in oil or fat and with spices. ☐ v. to try (gold etc.) on a streak-plate; to work out (a mathematical sum); to calculate (price etc.); to singe (meat, fish etc.) in oil or fat and with spices; to tighten; to bind tightly; to tan (hides); to make astringent. ~কষি n. unswerving enforcement of rule, law etc; rigour, strictness; act of tightening; tugging and counter-tugging; higgling (দরকষাকষি); strained state, estrangement (মনকষা কষি). কষাকষি করা v. to enforce strictness or rigour; to tighten; to contest or try laboriously. দর কষাকষি করা v. to higgle, to chaffer. মন কষাকষি করা v. to estrange oneself (from); to quarrel (with). কষানো v. to singe meat; to tan (hides). কষাটে a. slightly astringent; (fig.) divested of taste or flavour; (fig.) loathsome, disgusting. কষা মাংস n. singed meat; meat cooked with oil and spices.

কশা1, কষা [ kaśā1, kaṣā ] বি. চাবুক। [সং. √ কশ্ + অ + স্ত্রী. আ]। ~ঘাত বি. চাবুকের আঘাত, চাবুকের ঘা। ~হত বিণ. চাবুক দিয়ে আঘাত করা হয়েছে এমন। কষা1 [ kaṣā1 ] দ্র কশা1। কষা2 [ kaṣā2 ] বিণ. কষায় রসযুক্ত, ঈষৎ তিক্ত কষায় রসযুক্ত। [সং. কষায়]। কষা3 [ kaṣā3 ] ক্রি. 1 কষ্টিপাথরে ঘষে সোনা ইত্যাদি পরীক্ষা করা; 2 অঙ্কপাত করা, গণিতের ফল বার করা (অঙ্ক কষা, আঁক কষা); 3 মূল্য নিরূপণ করা (দাম কষা)। ☐ বি. বিণ. উক্ত সমস্ত অর্থে। [সং. √ কষ্ + বাং. আ]। কষা4 [ kaṣā4 ] ক্রি. 1 (মাংসাদি) সাঁতলানো; 2 আঁট করে বাঁধা; 3 শক্ত করা (কষে বাঁধো); 4 শুষ্ক বা রুক্ষ হওয়া (শরীর কষে গেছে); 5 জটিল কৌশল করা (প্যাঁচ কষা)। ☐ বিণ. 1 আঁট, শক্ত, কড়া; 2 কৃপণ; 3 বদ্ধকোষ্ঠ (কষা ঘাত); 4 সাঁতলানো হয়েছে এমন, সাঁতলে রাঁধা হয়েছে এমন (কষা মাংস)। কষে ক্রি-বিণ. দৃঢ়ভাবে, শক্ত করে, সজোরে (কষে বাঁধো, কষে চড়)। [বাং. √ কষ্]। কষা5, কষানো [ kaṣā5, kaṣānō ] ক্রি.
